This page documents how Extramarital Affair produces content: who writes it, how it is checked, how we use AI tools, and how we handle mistakes. We publish it because readers dealing with a painful situation deserve to know where the information is coming from.
Who writes for us
- Every article carries a named author with their stated qualifications and experience.
- Legal topics are reviewed by someone with legal training. Psychological topics are reviewed by someone with clinical training. Astrology content is written by a practising astrologer and clearly framed as tradition, not science.
- Author pages list credentials and, where available, professional profiles.
How we use AI
We are explicit about this because it matters:
- We use AI tools to help with research, structure, and first drafts.
- No article is published without a human editor reading it end to end, checking every factual claim, and taking responsibility for it.
- We do not publish AI output unedited, and we do not publish at machine speed. Volume is deliberately capped so that every piece gets a genuine human pass.

Sourcing and accuracy
- Factual claims — especially legal and medical ones — are linked to primary sources: statutes, judgments, government portals, peer-reviewed research, or recognised institutions.
- We do not invent statistics, studies, quotes, or case examples.
- Where a claim is contested or evidence is thin, we say so rather than picking the more dramatic version.
- Anecdotes are labelled as anecdotes.
YMYL standards
This site covers “Your Money or Your Life” topics — legal rights, mental health, and major life decisions. We therefore hold ourselves to stricter rules:
- No guaranteed outcomes, ever — legal, emotional, or astrological.
- Clear signposting to qualified professionals and crisis helplines.
- Astrology is never presented as an alternative to medical, psychological, or legal help.
- No content that facilitates surveillance, stalking, or harassment of another adult.
Tone
- Non-judgmental toward everyone involved, including the person who strayed.
- No shaming, no gendered stereotyping, no moral lectures.
- Headlines describe what the article actually delivers. Curiosity is fine; false promises are not.
Updates and corrections
- Articles show a “last updated” date when materially revised.
- Legal content is reviewed periodically because the law changes.
- Substantive corrections are noted on the article itself — we do not quietly edit and pretend the error never happened.

Independence
- Advertisers and affiliate partners have no influence over editorial content. See our Advertising Disclosure.
- We do not accept paid guest posts, sponsored links, or do-follow link placements.
- Any commercial relationship relevant to an article is disclosed within that article.
Privacy of people in our content
We do not publish identifying details of real individuals' relationships. Where an example is drawn from a real situation, it is anonymised and details are changed.
